A Week In the
Dolomites
It all begins with an idea - albeit one that was realised over a year after originally planned. Taking inspiration from the plans of friends and content online, my friend and I decided to act upon what we’d seen and spend a week hiking and climbing to some of the huts scattered throughout the limestone peaks. The following images are a representation of our experiences during this time.
Santnerpasshütte
A juxtaposition of space-age architecture and landscape older than humanity itself.
Schlernhaus
Completed in 1885 the Schlernhütte provides a grounded atmosphere to reconnect with nature at 2457 meters above sea level.
Passo Falzarego
Stuck without a place to spend the night, the executive decision was made to sleep in the back of my car atop a mountain pass.
INNSBRUCK
The final stop of the tour and where my friend would fly home from. Although not in Italy, this city gripped us both enough for us to end up looking for apartments and jobs in this city.
